My Impossible List

I’ve written a bucket list once or twice. They’re a lovely afternoon of daydreaming and maybe a weeks worth of inspiration (if you’re lucky and don’t get distracted by cartoon theme songs from the 90’s). If I ever achieved anything from the list though, it was completely by happenstance rather than consistent effort towards a goal.

To fix that, I decided to go looking for a better concept. I found “The Impossible List”. Thomas Frank of CollegeInfoGeek explains it well here;

Taking inspiration from Thomas, I decided to create a ‘Impossible List’ of my own 🙌

Current Focuses:

  • Attend five BJJ classes a week for three months
  • Release an iOS application
  • Read 30 books in a year (tracked here and here)
  • Finish a campaign in Stellaris

Last Five Completed Goals:

  • Learn to ski (July 2018)
  • Ski blue runs at Mt. Buller confidently (September 2018)
  • Ski a black run (September 2018)
  • Visit San Francisco (November 2018)
  • Do a bladesmithing course (November 2018)

  • Remove an engine from a car and completely disassemble it, then reassemble it, put it back, and turn it on
  • Learn to play the piano
